We have been an International producer and supplier of vegetable seeds, forage & pasture seeds and garden peas since 1997. Founder and Managing Director, Lynn Townsend, has worked in the seed business for over 40 years.

We are based in Lincoln, 17km from the heart of Christchurch City, which is situated on the fertile Canterbury Plains. We employ 9 full time staff and several part time staff during the Spring and Summer seasons.

We have Research and Trial facilities available, as well as access to some of the most modern seed cleaning plants in New Zealand.

We supply into markets worldwide, including Europe, Asia, America and Algeria.

Vegetable Seeds

All vegetable seed crops produced by our company are entered into a GPS based isolation scheme that ensures all crops are sufficiently isolated from other fields of a similar species.

Forage & Turf Seeds

All seed is produced under the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries seed certification scheme. We are also accredited to the O.E.C.D Seed Certification scheme.

We have a strict quality control and maintenance programme that ensures all of our Garden Peas continue to be in strong demand. Reselection and monitoring of crops is on-going every year.

We are very proud to represent Crites Seed Inc, Moscow, Idaho, USA for sales in the Southern Hemisphere. Crites have a large suite of Garden pea varieties from their own breeding programme and we welcome enquiries from Clients in our region.
